The owner of a private school allegedly hired a gang to brutally assault and abduct the manager of a rival institution who was luring his students away. Police have caught six members of the gang.

On May 16, the gang rammed the car of Nageshwar Rao, the manager of HSLN Higher Primary School, when he was driving from Kubalagunte to Hesaraghatta. As an angry Rao got off his car, the suspects brutally assaulted him and drove away. Passersby noticed Rao in a pool of blood and took him to a hospital.

According to the police, Rao had taught at a school run in Thammenahalli by one Ramachandra Reddy. He later quit the job and opened his own school. He also managed to lure many students away from Reddy’s school. Reddy got upset about it and allegedly hired the gang for Rs 15 lakh to kill Rao.
