Bengaluru: The Panathur bridge work in southeastern Bengaluru will be completed in less than two months, according to the South Western Railway (SWR).
K-RIDE, the project implementing agency, has already commissioned one vent and will complete the second by January 2025, SWR General Manager Arvind Srivastava said during a study visit by the railway zone's standing committee on December 2.
There was no need for any land in the railway limits, while the BBMP is constructing approach roads, he added.
The issue was raised by Bangalore MP, P C Mohan.
At Carmelaram, the SWR's Construction Organisation is building railway overbridge number 132, but the construction of an approach road has been held for want of land, which has to be acquired by the BBMP, Srivastava said.
