While Murthy replaced R Bhaskaran, L S Prabhakara replaced Diwakar Raju as the Secretary and Vijay Kumar was elected as the Assistant Secretary for the year 2010-11.
Further, Rotary recognised, K S Shashikala from Government Higher Primary School, Manjunathanagara, for having trained under Rotary’s Concentrated Language Encounter (CLE) programme.
For the current financial year, the club has on its agenda distribution of notebooks to sudents from the rural areas, among other things.
The club has also decided to present the Rotary Community Service Excellence Award to Hemachandra Sagar for his work in the fields of education and social/community service. However, due to the ongoing sessions at the Vidhana Parishad, Sagar could not attend the event and the award ceremony has been postponed.
