The City Market police have arrested four people and seized stolen electric wire boxes worth Rs 18.6 lakh from them.
The arrested were identified as Ratan Lal (32), Babu Lal (25), Pema Lal (27) and Ramesh (31). The gang broke into Khushbu Electricals owned by Lakshminarayana and escaped with 98 boxes of electrical wires on July 16.
Based on the complaint, the City Market police verified the CCTV footage in and around the area before zeroing on the suspects. The police have recovered the boxes and the stolen materials from the suspects before producing them before a magistrate who remanded them in judicial
custody.
