Bengaluru: The funeral of eminent journalist T J S George, who passed away on October 3, will he held with all state honours on Sunday, the Chief Minister’s Office said on Saturday.
According to a government order, “T J S George, senior journalist and Padma Bhushan awardee, passed away on October 3. The government expresses its deep condolences and has ordered that his last rites be conducted with full state honours.”
George passed away on Friday at a private hospital at the age of 97. His mortal remains will be kept at the Hebbal crematorium from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm for his readers, family members, friends, students, and admirers to pay their last respects. The cremation will take place at 3 pm.
