An 18-year-old teenager committed suicide on Monday with his father's service rifle in Doddabommasandra area, Bangalore, which falls under Vidyaranyapura police station limits.
The boy has been identified as Jitendra, a II PUC student of MES college. His family hails from Kodagu and his father is a former Border Security Force (BSF) personnel.
The reason that drove the victim to take the extreme step was unclear. However, reports have it that the victim had a tiff with his mother in the morning before he pulled the trigger on himself
