Three persons have been arrested by the Girinagar police for selling ganja recently. The suspects have been identified as Venkatesh, 38, a resident of Gavinagamangala village, Magadi taluk, Santosh, 26, Nagadevanahalli near Kengeri and Hemanth, 21, Mudalapalya, Bengaluru, said the police.
The police seized 6.6 kg ganja valued at Rs 70,000 and Rs 900 from them. On a tip-off, the police arrested them when they were trying to sell ganja in front of PESIT on the 100 feet Ring Road at Hosakerehalli.
Santosh would procure raw ganja from various sources from in and around Magadi town. He would sell the same to the two suspects and trio would sell it professionals and students of reputed colleges. The three were produced before the court and remanded in judicial custody.
