Bengaluru: Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa and his friend Pavithra Gowda were arrested by the Bengaluru police on Thursday after the Supreme Court cancelled their bail.

The duo will be produced before a trial court, which will remand them to prison after a medical examination.

June 9, 2024:

Renukaswamy’s body was found near a storm water drain in Sumanahalli.

June 10, 2024

Four people surrender to Police claiming to have murdered Renukaswamy over a financial dispute. On further investigation Police uncover the role of actor Darshan and Pavitra Gowda 

June 11, 2024

Darshan was arrested from Mysore. Pavitra Gowda was also arrested from her residence 

August, 2024

Darshan was moved to Ballari Jail after a photo of him having a smoke with other jail inmates and a video of him making a video call from within the prison surfaced.

September, 2024

Bengaluru Police file a chargesheet naming Pavitra Gowda as A1, Darshan as A2 and 15 others.

October 30, 2024

Karnataka High Court grants Darshan a six week interim bail to get treatment for his back ache.

December 13, 2024

Karnataka High Court grants bail to Darshan, Pavitra Gowda and five others 

January, 2025

Bengaluru City Police challenge in Supreme Court the bail granted to Darshan and others.

May 30, 2025

Sessions Court allows Darshan to travel abroad for film shoot.

August 14, 2025

Supreme Court cancels bail granted to Darshan, Pavitra Gowda and five others in the case.
