Bengaluru: A two-and-a-half-year-old boy was killed after being run over by a JCB near his residence on February 18.
The incident occurred around 6.45 pm while the child was playing on the street near a construction site. As the JCB left the site, the boy was accidentally run over. He sustained severe injuries and succumbed while being rushed to the hospital.
The victim’s father, Surendra, is employed at a private company in Bengaluru.
The Mahadevapura traffic police said the driver was not speeding or driving negligently, and the incident was deemed an unfortunate accident. The driver has been taken into custody, and further investigation is underway.
