

The festival is the brainchild of vocalist K N Shashikiran and would be held at MLR Convention Centre and The Woodrose Club, JP Nagar. “We have international music festivals, why not have one within our country,” said K N Shashikiran.
The festival will see Carnatic, Hindustani, folk, sufi, Rajasthani, Tamil rock, spiritual music and more. Musicians Vinayak Torvi, R K Padmanabha, Manasi Prasad, The Madras String Quartet would be coming together for this event. “We want everyone to unwind musically,” said Manasi Prasad, a Carnatic vocalist. The event would also see, music-related movies being featured.
It would also provide an opportunity for people interested in Carnatic, Hindustani and devotional music to take part in a music talent hunt called ‘Bengaluru Vani’. The registration for the talent hunt is free of cost. There would be five categories for the contest. The talent hunt would be held on February 27 at 10 am.
