A Bengaluru-based IT professional took to social media to claim that he was fired from a leading American company within three months of joining. He also accused his former manager of "micromanagement and unwarranted psychological pressure during onboarding".
In a post that has now gone viral on LinkedIn, the man detailed his experience at the US-based workforce management firm.
The professional, identified as Saurabh Patel, said he joined in September this year.
"I joined, bringing my prior experience from Amazon and Revolut. Although I lacked direct SaaS experience, I was transparent about this during my interview. I expressed my willingness to learn, adapt, and contribute meaningfully... I was reassured that the company’s culture is built on mentorship, support, and fostering growth—a promise that ultimately remained unfulfilled...," he said.
"Even cases assigned a minute before my shift ended had to be completed, often requiring me to work for 2+ hours daily after my shift," Patel said.
Patel alleged lack of support and guidance from his manager and said he provided minimal help during his transition into the role. "I was expected to perform at the same level as experienced employees without receiving adequate mentorship or training," Patel said.
He also accused his manager of "micromanaging his work" and said that he focused on minor problems that delayed the work and also was expected to manage 35-40 cases (emails) weekly, which is "excessive for someone new to the SaaS domain".
Patel received a lot of support on LinkedIn from other users. One commented, "Hire to fire is the policy."
Patel also tagged a senior employee of the company in the US while narrating his ordeal.
