A traffic constable on duty was seriously injured when a car allegedly hit him near Central Silk Board junction today, police said.
The injured constable,Basaiah (26) has been hospitalised and is stated to be "out of danger", they said.
The incident occurred when vehicle checks were being carried out near the spot and the car, being driven at high speed, hit him.
The car owner, an employee of a private firm, has been arrested and the vehicle seized, they said.
