Bengaluru: The Bengaluru Traffic Police (BTP) conducted a special drive between January 6 and 12 against speeding and drunk driving.

The police checked a total of 57,860 vehicles and detected 861 drunk driving violations. 

A total of 290 cases of speeding was registered and Rs 3.04 lakh was collected in fines. The drive was conducted across the city and all 50 traffic police stations participated, the BTP said in a statement.
