The City traffic police have imposed restrictions on the movement of vehicles during the inauguration of the 8th Bengaluru International Film Festival (Biffes) in front of the Vidhana Soudha at 5.30 pm on Thursday.

A press release issued by the traffic department stated that persons with VVIP invitations and car passes can enter from the AGs Circle and proceed up to the West Gate near Devaraj Urs statue and then towards the East Gate and alight at the Banquet Hall.

Vehicles are to be parked at the designated parking lot at the North Gate. People with VIP invitations are requested to park their vehicles at the MS Building parking lot or Cubbon Park and enter by foot from the AGs Circle from the West Gate and avail transport arranged by the authorities to reach the venue.

Invitees are requested to park their vehicles inside Cubbon Park and enter the Vidhana Soudha on Dr Ambedkar Veedhi and from the North-East gate. The East Gate of the Vidhana Soudha (opposite High Court) will be closed after lunch hour in view of Biffes.

According to officials, due to security reasons and to avoid last-minute confusion, the gate will be closed for visitors in the afternoon. No holiday has been declared for the secretariat staff.
