Turkish aviation firm, Çelebi Airport Services, a global service provider in ground handling, has won a 10-year contract to operate the critical service at the Kempegowda International Airport here.

The company has proposed to invest $7-9 million to enhance ground-handling services at the country's third busiest airport. Its operations at the KIA will commence in August this year, a company release said.

Çelebi already operates ground-handling services at the Delhi, Mumbai, Kochi and Ahmedabad airports. "We are focused on expanding our footprint within the country. India is a key market, well set for a major growth path, and Çelebi is well-positioned to contribute, support and play a meaningful role in this change process," said Murali Ramachandran, chief executive officer, India, Çelebi Aviation Holding.
