Bengaluru: The police arrested two men and seized 1.44 kg of packeted ganja-laced gummies worth Rs 3 lakh from them.

Police sources identified the suspects as TS Mohammad Zahid, 25, and Ismail Adnan, 24, Chikkamagaluru residents living in Hebbal. 

According to the sources, the two men had stocked up the gummies at a rented house in Kanika Layout in Hebbal and were attempt to sell it in Byatarayanapura. 

However, informants tipped off the police. The police went looking for them in Byatarayanapura, but they had fled. They later tracked them down to the Hebbal house and arrested them. 

"We are investigating the source of these gummies. These are not very common in Bengaluru," a police officer investigating the case said. 

The police have registered a case under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
