Gowri (42) hanged herself from a ceiling fan in her house in Ramanna Garden. She was reportedly disappointed in life due to poverty and her son’s behaviour. She had become an introvert after one of her three sons was imprisoned in a theft case.

Govindaraju, a 28-year-old car driver, ended life by hanging himself in his Gajendranagar house. The reason for the extreme step is unknown. He was a chronic alcoholic, said Byppanahalli police. A person who climbed a tree to get fodder for his sheep was electrocuted in Bapujinagar within Byatarayanapura police station limits. The victim Andanappa (50), came in contact with a live wire when he had climbed the tree.
