Bengaluru: The Bengaluru police arrested two Ghana nationals, Bright, 45, and Kofi, 44, on July 10, seizing 700 grams of MDMA valued at Rs 70 lakh.

The suspects, residing in Doddabettahalli, North Bengaluru, arrived in India on medical visas in 2023 and are accused of drug peddling.

Acting on a tip-off, the police raided a house at 3rd Cross, 1st Main, Doddabetthalli.

The two confessed to purchasing MDMA cheaply near JP Park, Mathikere, and selling it to the public and college students for quick money.

The police seized two mobile phones and a two-wheeler used in the crime. Both have been produced before the court and remanded to judicial custody.
