Bengaluru: The police have arrested two men for stealing nearly 2.5 kg of gold from a hallmark authentication center in the city.

Mahabeer Gurjar, 25, and Manish Prajapati, 20, both from Rajasthan, were arrested in Delhi. Another suspect remains at large with the stolen gold, the police said.

Senior officers said the suspects fled with the valuables on January 25 from the center, where they were employed. The facility housed gold from various shops for hallmark authentication.

"The suspects had previously worked at gold shops across the country before coming to Bengaluru," a police investigator said.
