Two men assaulted, robbed

Four unidentified bike borne miscreants assaulted two persons and made away with a two-wheeler and valuables near Metro Hotel on Mysore Road under Byatarayanapura police limits on Saturday night.

The victims are Harish, 35, and his friend Purushotham, 30, both residents of Jyothi Nagar on Mysore Road.

Harish, who owns a scrap shop in Cottonpet, was returning home on a two-wheeler with Purushotham.

The miscreants came on two bikes and one of them rammed into Harish’s bike from the rear.

The duo fell down and the four people went to them, assaulted them with knives and made away with the two-wheeler, Rs 10,000, mobile phone and an ATM card.

The victims went to a nearby hospital for treatment of their injuries and then to the Byatarayanapura police to lodge a complaint.

A police officer said that the complainant told the police that the miscreants were conversing in Hindi and that they would soon nab the culprits.
