Unidentified miscreants reportedly stabbed two men in Yelahanka when they refused to donate to the installation of a Ganesha idol for the upcoming festival.

Pranay Sahani, a generator repair operator, and his worker Gopal were injured in the attack, police said.

When the two were on their way to their shop, a gang of six stopped their vehicle near Maruthi Nagar in Vikas Layout on Monday evening and demanded the donation for the festival.

After Sahani refused to pay up, they picked an argument with him, and in a fit of rage, one of the members of the gang took out a knife and stabbed Sahani. The gang attacked Gopal when he rushed to rescue Sahani and fled the spot.

The jurisdictional Yelahanka police have registered a case against unidentified men.
