Bengaluru: Days after Upa Lokayukta Justice Veerappa, during his surprise inspection, found the son of a BBMP employee working on behalf of his mother, the civic body suspended two employees, including an assistant revenue officer (ARO) of its South Zone.
While second-grade employee Kavitha was suspended for allowing her son to occupy her seat, ARO Sujatha faced action for dereliction of duty.
The Upa Lokayukta had found that the son was working on her behalf regularly as Kavitha did not know how to operate computers. "This is completely unacceptable," he had remarked after the inspection.
Subsequently, the Lokayukta sleuths had filed a complaint with the Siddapura police, which led to the arrest of Naveen, Kavitha's son.
