Two minor sisters were rescued from a prostitution racket and two female pimps were arrested from a house in Brindavan Nagar in Chikka Adugodi within Madiwala police limits.
According to the CCB police, the arrested are Ambika (26) and Deepa (22), relatives of the girls, who are aged 10 years and 12 years.
The girls hail from Mandya and their father, a fortune teller, expired a while ago. Their mother is a daily-wage labourer. The pimps paid off their mother and told her that they would take the sisters to the City and get them work as domestic helps.
The girls were kept in a rented house and forced into prostitution. The pimps would lure customers saying the girls were young and demanded up to Rs 2 lakh, said the police.
The victims were rescued based on a tip off.
The police are investigating to see if the accused have lured more such girls. A case has been registered at the Madiwala police station.
