Bengaluru: A two-wheeler worth not more than Rs 50,000 was fined Rs 1.61 lakh by the Bengaluru Traffic Police for 311 traffic fines pending since February 2023.

On Monday, the City Market Traffic Police seized the scooter bearing the registration number KA 05 JX 1344 and nabbed the alleged driver who had committed over 300 traffic violations but had evaded paying the fines.

Sudeep was the driver of the vehicle, while the owner of the vehicle is Periya Swamy, who has been served a notice.

The police acted on a complaint raised on social media platform X.

Some of the pending violations included not wearing a helmet and jumping signals. At least three complaints were raised against the same vehicle since 2023.
