Bengaluru: UnboxingBLR Foundation, in collaboration with Nikhil Kamath’s WTFund, has announced the five winners of the Namma Bengaluru Challenge, aimed at fostering innovative and sustainable solutions to address Bengaluru’s critical challenges.
Each winner received a Rs 10 lakh grant to support their visionary initiatives. The announcement was made during the Futures Conference at the Bangalore International Centre, as part of the BLR Hubba event.
The winners of the Namma Bengaluru Challenge 2024 include Clean Water (Sustainable Water Technologies Private Limited); Mahila Shakthi Electric Auto Driving Training Programme (Namma Foundation); Nagara Meter Auto (BrandPride Mobility Private Limited); Anahat Foundation (that focuses on improving access to primary and preventive healthcare for the urban poor); and Let's Be the Change, a sustainability-driven waste management project that aims to reduce landfill waste to less than 1 per cent by holding citizens accountable for their waste and incentivising top performers through regular audits, while fostering collaboration between citizens and the municipal corporation.
