Bengaluru: An undertrial, who was admitted in hospital following an illness has escaped, officials said on Sunday.
The accused is Chandrashekhar, who was facing trial in a robbery case.
According to the police, Chandrashekhar was admitted to Victoria Hospital on Friday after he complained of illness, including chest pain and vomiting.
Despite being under security, Chandrashekhar escaped in the early hours of Saturday.
The VV Puram police visited the spot. An inquiry has been ordered to ascertain what led to the escape and security lapses, if any.
