Bengaluru: The Joint Action Committee of the Trade Unions of Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation has slammed the four Road Transport Corporations (RTCs) for issuing charge sheets and show-cause notices to about 30,000 employees for participating in Tuesday’s bus strike.

The committee, comprising six employees’ unions, vowed a fresh agitation if the RTCs do not stop the disciplinary action. 

It also asserted that the strike would have intensified if the high court hadn’t intervened. 

Conciliation meeting

The committee also made representations to the labour commissioner during a conciliation meeting on Thursday over the employees' demand for a 25% pay hike from January 1, 2024.
