Bengaluru: Thirty-two graduates and postgraduate students of St John’s College of Nursing secured university ranks.
The 42nd annual convocation on Thursday saw 225 students — 101 BSc Nursing, 28 Post-Basic BSc Nursing, and 22 MSc Nursing students — graduate.
Pradeep Kumar Samad, Director, Catholic Mission Hospital and School of Nursing, Odisha; BL Sujatha Rathod, Director, Medical Education; Jesudoss Rajamanickam, Director, St John’s National Academy of Health Sciences; and Tony AJ, Associate Director, St John’s National Academy of Health Sciences, were present.
Dr Rathod reminded the graduates to be like Florence Nightingale, taking people from darkness to light and stressed that nurses should be a bridge between doctors and patients and display compassion and service in their actions.
Samad emphasised that nursing is the "finest of arts” and urged the outgoing batch to leave an imprint on all their patients through their service.
