According to the SWR, it is the first railway zone in India to implement the MUTS Sahayak ticketing scheme. The launch came after the Railway Board identified KSR Bengaluru as one of five NSG-1 category stations across India for the scheme's pilot implementation.

MUTS Sahayaks use handheld devices to issue unreserved tickets to passengers, offering another option for ticket bookings and providing relief from long queues. The SWR said the scheme was expected to reduce passenger rush at booking counters.
