Police said Shailesh Yadav from Gorakhpur, was murdered at Bandepalya on June 19. The prime suspect, Birendra Yadav, is on the run, while two others — Satish Yadav and Arun Yadav — have landed in police net.

The suspects had claimed that Shailesh died after tripping over. However, the post-mortem report on Monday revealed that the death was due to haemorrhage as a result of head injury sustained due to blunt force trauma. A police officer said Shailesh had relocated to Bengaluru sometime ago and had bragged many times about having an affair with Birendra’s sister-in-law in their hometown.  A furious Birendra vowed to kill Shailesh and roped in Arun and Satish.
