Kommasandra Circle Village Accountant Mariyappa was caught accepting Rs 8,000 from T Krishnappa of Vijayapura Town. Mariyappa had allegedly demanded Rs 20,000 from Krishnappa for a Khata change.
However, after bargaining, he had settled for Rs 12,000 and received Rs 4,000 as first installment, Lokayukta police said.
