Bengaluru: The Air Force Station, Jalahalli, held the ninth Veterans Day programme on Tuesday.
Air Marshal Nagesh Kapoor, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief (AOC-in-C), Training Command, Indian Air Force, and other senior officers from the Training Command and over 2,000 veterans from the three services laid a wreath at the war memorial at the training command.
Kapoor highlighted the enduring legacy of the veterans, emphasising the importance of their wisdom and experience in shaping the future of the armed forces.
During the event, veterans were honoured for exemplary service. Counters of Controller of Defence Accounts, Directorate of Veterans from the three services, Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Service Scheme), and banks were functional at the venue for on-spot clarification and resolution of issues being faced by the veterans, according to a news release.
