For the many cricketers, who have been visiting the City during the World Cup, the ITC Royal Gardenia has been their one stop destination. Ask any player and he will tell you that apart from the stadium, the only other place he has spent most of his time is the hotel.
After staying for over two weeks, the England cricket team left the City last weekend after losing to the Ireland team. To make their departure a happy and a memorable one, the hotel staff organised a ‘Signature Departure Bat Ritual’ for them.
The staff holding cricket bats in an arch shape, made the players walk under them and then step into the bus. Adding to their experience was the soft music being played by a three-piece band.
