Mysuru: Former MP Prathap Simha asked whether RCB party was held at Vidhana Soudha for photos and autographs. “Was the RCB party held on the steps of Vidhana Soudha for photographs and autographs for the family members of those in the Karnataka State government?”
Speaking to media persons, in Mysuru, on Thursday, Simha asked, “Was the RCB party held in front of Vidhana Soudha for the sons of MLA Rizwan Arshad and minister B Z Zameer Ahmed Khan, the Chief Secretary’s daughter, or Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s grandson?”
“The celebration turned into a mourning, due to the government’s irresponsibility. I thought that Siddaramaiah was just a rude person. Now, he proved to be insensitive, emotionless and shameless. Where are ministers Santosh Lad and Priyanka Kharge now, who taught security lessons to Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath? The UP CM managed 60 crore people during the 45-day Kumbha Mela, but even 60,000 people couldn't be managed in Karnataka. The Congress has become bankrupt. Its leaders sacrificed innocent people in the process to gain publicity from the RCB's victory,” Simha said.
“What was the pressure on the government to organise the event the very next day? Did Virat Kohli call and say that he will come immediately? If a roadshow had been held, lakhs of people would have witnessed it. In Telangana, actor Allu Arjun was arrested in a stampede case. Will the CM be arrested here now? Will the DCM be arrested? Will the Home Minister be held accountable?” Simha asked.
MLA T S Srivathsa said, “We lost 11 of our people, as the event was organised without proper preparation. In the neighboring Telangana, actor Allu Arjun was booked and sent to jail immediately. But, our government has not taken any action, so far”.
“Why were the players taken to the Vidhana Soudha? Is the RCB owned by the State government? The BCCI has stated that no preparation was done for the victory celebration. The CM, DCM, and Home Minister should have resigned immediately,” the MLA said.
“The BJP is not doing politics in this matter. But, how did Congress react to the stampede during Kumbha Mela?” Srivathsa asked.
