Aiming to keep his spirit alive, his wife Arundhati Nag will be launching an official Shankar Nag website on his birthday. “We wanted to make a really nice one, before someone else makes a horrible one,” she joked. Speaking to Metrolife, Arundhati said that the website will provide his fans with special and authentic insights into his life and work. “Often youngsters see his photo behind autos and wonder who he is. Through the website, we want to keep him and his spirit alive and tell people what is it that makes him so popular, why he is remembered so much and why is Malgudi Days still one of the best serials,” she explained.
The website will have Shankar’s close friends and family writing about him and his relation with them. There will also be small footage sent by his friends from all over the country.
