Bengaluru: A 34-year-old college professor was found dead in his flat in north Bengaluru’s Soladevanahalli on Tuesday. The police have filed an unnatural death report, suspecting he died due to a cardiac arrest.

The deceased has been identified as Shreyas Tad, a professor of psychology and PhD scholar at a private university in Soladevanahalli. Shreyas is the son of an IAS officer in West Bengal.

The police said that Shreyas had moved to Bengaluru two years ago after securing a job as a professor.

According to the investigators, Shreyas’ domestic help came on Sunday and Monday. But when there was no answer, she left. Having doubts, she informed the landlord, who forced open the front door. Shreyas was found dead on his bed. The body was partially decomposed.

The police have sent the body for post-mortem and informed his family. They are awaiting the final medical reports.
