A woman allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself at her parents’ house in Basappa Garden, Vyalikaval, on Monday.
Archana B was married to Kaarthik B in February. Police said that a few weeks after marriage, she suffered from acute pain in abdomen. Though she was given treatment, there was no relief.
On Monday afternoon, Archana told her mother, Vithala Bai, that she was going to a room in the upstairs to take bath.
However, when she didn’t turn up even after a long time, Archana’s father Balasubramanya went upstairs to check on her and found her body hanging from a ceiling fan, police added. Police suspect that she might have taken the extreme step due to ill health.
