In terror, she readily obliged the robber when he demanded that she hand over all her jewellery. Madhu emptied all the gold jewellery from her cupboard - a 65 gm mangalsutra, a 60 gm necklace, an 18 gm bracelet, a 25 gm pair of bangles, a 25 gm pearl necklace, two pairs of earrings (30 gm) and three chains (35 gm) - all worth Rs three lakh.
The daylight break-in robbery occurred around 2:30 pm on Tuesday when Madhu's husband Venkatesh, employed with a private company was out at work.
According to police, the robber easily entered the house as its door was open.
The robber pushed around Madhu, but didn't injure her two sons, aged six and four. Once the jewellery was handed over, he fled. Recovering from the shock, Madhu approached the police and lodged a complaint.
Peenya police have booked a case of voluntarily causing hurt in committing robbery under Section 394 of the IPC and launched a manhunt for the suspect.
Six arrested for murder
A 21-year-old II PUC dropout, who reportedly roped in five of his friends to murder the alleged killer of his father, has been arrested along with his accomplices, said police.

Satish's father way back in 1997. Satish who was an eyewitness to the incident wanted to avenge his father's murder, police added.
