The National Bureau of Soil Survey and Land Use Planning (NBSS&LUP), under the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), is organising an international workshop on ‘Digital Soil Mapping’ from January 21 to 24 at Gokulam Grand Hotel, BEL Circle.

According to NBSS&LUP Director NG Patil, digital soil mapping enables the precise identification of soil characteristics across vast areas. 

"This technology, which operates based on satellite imagery and advanced data-driven methods, significantly supports sustainable agriculture. The workshop will feature extensive discussions and knowledge sharing on the subject," he told a news conference on Monday.
