Bhavanotsava begins

The camp which commenced from Friday was jointly organised by Bharathiya Vidya Bhavan Bangalore, Mysore and Madikeri centres for three days. With the beauty of the nature being caught by the artists on their canvases, the tiny village may attract tourists from all over. The participating artists are M M Jinendra, G Somshekhar, H P Brahmanandamurthy, Appasaheb Ganigar, U Ashok, R Lokesh, Yogesh, S Sandeep, Srinivas, C Kiran from Bangalore, Vittal Reddy, F Chalaki of Mysore, Ganesh Somayaji, G Kandan, Perumude and Mohan Kumar from Dakshina Kannada, H S Manjunath of Hassan, Mallappa S Halli of Tumkur, B R Sathish and Prasanna Kumar from Kodagu, Basavaraju Kuthani and Bheemanna Beeradar of Udupi, Mohammed from Chikkaballapura, S Raviraj and S Murugeshan from Tamil Nadu. H S Suresh provides guidance to the artists.

Most of the artists are engaged in piece work through water colour and acrylic. River, waterfalls find its place on the canvases.

“It is a pleasure to view the beauty of the nature and converting it on the canveses. The artists who have come from plateus are mesmerised over the beauty of the region,” says participating artists. Each artist have already created two to three paintings.
