The issue became serious when BJP workers came to demand action against the police officials who assaulted Panchakshari, in turn assaulted the police. Two case were registered in this regard.
DySP Puttamadaiah and Superintendent of Police accompanied by BJP leader rushed to MGM hospital where both Panchakshari and injured constable Nagesh were undergoing treatment and enquired about their health and the incident.
SP assured to take action against those responsible for the incident.
