“Last year, we spent  Rs 53,000 crore on the five guarantees, and this year, we have allocated  Rs 50,000 crore. Additionally, Rs 83,000 crore has been earmarked for asset creation and Rs 1.35 lakh crore for development. If the treasury were empty, how could we fund such extensive development initiatives?”

He was speaking after the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a hostel, organised by Mandya District Kuruba Association at Kanaka Bhavan in Mandya on Thursday.

“The BJP has been continuously lying, alleging that the government has gone bankrupt. The people can see the development works executed by the Congress government. But it is not visible for the BJP, which is always against social justice,” he criticised.

“Our government is not giving guarantee schemes on the basis of caste. The five guarantees were meant for all castes and communities. All women, including the wives of Chaluvaryaswamy, Narendraswamy and my wife, can travel free of cost in buses under the Shakti scheme,” he said.

The party has won 135 seats in Karnataka, under his leadership.”

Agriculture Minister N Chaluvarayaswamy, MLAs P M Narendraswamy, Ramesh Bandisiddegowda, and P Ravikumar, MLC Dinesh Gooligowda, Madhu Madegowda, MySugar Chairman C D Gangadhar, and former MLA K B Chandrashekar were present.
