Lingappa, father of BJP MLA L Nagendra, died following age-related issues on Saturday. He was aged 80.
Lingappa leaves behind three sons, invcluding Nagendra.
Following the demise of his father, Nagendra has cancelled all the events scheduled for the day, according to a communique released from the office of the MLA.
