Sakleshpur JD(S) MLA Kumaraswamy's wife has claimed that an aide of state BJP president B S Yeddyurappa had offered Rs 30 cr to her husband for joining the saffron party.
Speaking to reporters, Chanchala, the MLA's wife, said that Yeddyurappa's aide Uday Gowda came to their Bengaluru residence and offered her husband either minister's post or chairmanship of a board or corporation, plus Rs 30 crore. "Uday told me that though my husband has won six times, he has not been offered ministership. But, I told him that we will not join the BJP at any cost," she said.
MLA Kumaraswamy said, Uday Gowda had come home in my absence and has tried to convince my wife to lure me to join the BJP. However, he has not spoken to me, he said.
