The BJP state executive committee is scheduled to hold its meeting at the Palace Grounds here on Friday to discuss among other issues the current political situation in Karnataka and preparations to be made for the 2019 parliamentary elections.

The state BJP, which emerged as the single-largest party in the elections, has been closely watching the political developments.

A section of the saffron party leaders are of the view that the JD(S)-Congress government will not last long due to the simmering differences between the coalition
partners.
