After disrupting the Governor's address to the joint session, BJP Karnataka state president and leader of the opposition in the Legislative Assembly B S Yeddyurappa reiterated that his party will not move the no-confidence motion against the coalition government.

He also contradicted his colleague B Sriramulu's claims by saying that the BJP will not seek the Governor's intervention.

"We will neither move the no-confidence motion nor will we approach the Governor. We don't have to do anything. The government will collapse on its own, given the continued bickering among the MLAs. I have learnt that 10 to 12 MLAs have not attended the session."

"This is so because the Congress MLAs have no confidence in Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy. They are fighting among themselves and they are also seen facing off with the JD(S) MLAs everyday. Moreover, the Congress MLAs are openly hailing Siddaramaiah as their chief minister. The Chief Minister has himself claimed that he is not able to function in peace. There is no stability in the government. It has no moral authority to continue in power," he added.
