BJP women leaders' meet

A convention of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) women, who are elected representatives from zilla and taluk panchayats will be held in Bangalore on Wednesday to discuss preparations for the forthcoming Assembly polls.

Addressing a press conference in Bangalore on Tuesday, BJP State Mahila Morcha President, Reena Prakash said as many as 1,700 delegates will participate in the function scheduled to be held at Shikshakara Sadana.

The convention will be inaugurated by Rajya Sabha member and BJP National Mahila Morcha President Smriti Irani.

Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar, State BJP President K S Eshwarappa and national general secretary Ananth Kumar are scheduled to address the convention. Two political resolutions will be passed at the convention, Reena Prakash explained.
