Chikkamagaluru: BJP workers expressed their anger by throwing eggs at a poster featuring Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar’s image, accusing him of making statements about changing the Constitution.
A protest was organised by the BJP town unit on Tuesday at Azad Park Circle.
During the protest, some workers attempted to burn an effigy of D K Shivakumar, who is also the Karnataka Congress president, but the police intervened. This led to a verbal altercation between the protesters and the police.
Meanwhile, some individuals went towards Belur Road and threw eggs at a poster of the Anna Bhagya scheme, which featured D K Shivakumar’s image. The police tried to prevent them, but one activist managed to throw an egg from a distance. Later, the police dispersed all the protesters.
