The protest was led by District BJP Yuva Morcha President B B Bharatheesh. The protesters closed the Koppa gate, which disrupted the movement of vehicles on Madikeri-Mysore road for sometimes. The protesters urged the Chief Minister to induct Ranjan to the Cabinet.
The people of the region have been supporting BJP for the last several years. Even the Chief Minister had promised to induct Ranjan. By inducting Ranjan, CM should keep up the promise and give a plce for the Kodava community, said Bharatheesh.
The party office-bearers in the taluk will tender resignation, if Ranjan was not inducted into the Cabinet, they warned.
