Boats gutted in fire at Gangolli jetty in Udupi district

Fishing boats gutted in fire in Udupi.

Udupi: Boats and fishing equipment were gutted in fire reported at Gangolli jetty of Byndoor taluk in Udupi on Monday.

It is learnt that seven boats have been damaged and two bikes that were parked were also damaged. Two fire tenders have rushed to the spot to extinguish fire.

The fire service personnel along with locals are trying to douse fire. The fire is yet to be controlled. A large number of people have gathered at the spot.
